How do I know my barrier is damaged rather than just dry?
Dry skin feels tight and looks flaky. A damaged barrier also stings when you apply products that never used to sting, goes red easily, and stays that way. If your usual serum has started to burn, that is the sign.
Why is there no vitamin C or acid in this routine?
Because that is the point. A reactive barrier does not need more actives — it needs them removed while it rebuilds. Everything in this routine is there to restore, not to treat.
How long before I can go back to my actives?
Usually four to six weeks. Reintroduce one active at a time, twice a week at first, and stop if the stinging comes back.
Do I still need sunscreen with this routine?
Yes, every morning. A compromised barrier is more vulnerable to UV, not less. This bundle does not include one — add the B5 SkinProtect Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 PA++++ to your morning step.
Why two cleansers?
The micellar water removes makeup, sunscreen and the day; the gel cleanser takes off what is left. One gentle pass each is far kinder to a damaged barrier than one aggressive wash.
Will the oil break me out?
Rosehip is a dry oil and absorbs fast rather than sitting on the skin. If you are prone to congestion, use it on the drier areas only and leave the T-zone.
